The Ultimate Winners of Grammy Awards 2019

The 61st edition of the Grammy awards returned to Los Angeles on 10th February 2019. And as the curtains were drawn from the award ceremony, Los Angeles’ Staples Center echoed the names of big winners, such as Kacey Musgraves, Lady Gaga, etc.
While Alicia Key hosted this year’s Grammy award, Miley Cyrus, Cardi B Camila Cabello, Janelle Monae, Post Malone, and many more performed at the event. While Dua Lipa won the award for the best new artist; whereas Kacey Musgraves took home an award for the category Album of the year.
Kacey’s Golden Hour became the album of the year. Mulgraves won four prizes in total for Golden Hour, which became her critically acclaimed third album. After receiving the award she dedicated the award to her husband with whom she fell in love while recording the album.
Dua on the other hand stated that she was nervous while receiving the award.
Childish Gambino won four awards, which includes song of the year and record of the year, for This Is America, his fierce critique of US socio-politics.
Lady Gaga won three awards, which includes best pop performance for Joanne and best pop duet for Shallow, from the Oscar-nominated film A Star Is Born.
Brooklyn rapper Cardi B became the first solo female to win best rap album, for her debut Invasion of Privacy; and she thanked her daughter Kulture Kiari for giving her the encouragement to finish the record on time.

Best country duo/group performance: Dan + Shay, Tequila
Best country song: Kacey Musgraves, Space Cowboy
Best gospel album: Tori Kelly, Hiding Place
Best Americana album: Brandi Carlile, By the Way, I Forgive You
Best compilation soundtrack for visual media: The Greatest Showman
Best song written for visual media: Shallow, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt, songwriters (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper)
