IBM Shares million of Flickr Users Photos with outside researches for facial recognition

Millions of Flickr users did not have any idea that their photographs were originally being used for facial algorithms. IBM was responsible for compiling the photographs of those people who were photographed in Flickr and they used it for figuring out training for facial recognition. They also shared the data with outside researchers. One of the photographers who had photographed for Flick said that none of the people whom he had photographed had any clue that their images were being used in such a manner.
