In the early hours of Monday, the Duke of Sussex announced the birth of baby boy. Facing the news camera, a beaming Prince Harry could hardly contain himself. While announcing his son’s birth, he seemed to be extremely thrilled and even thanked public for their support.
In a statement, he stated that Meghan and the baby were doing fine, pointing that they were still considering the names for the infant, who was safely delivered at 05:26 BST.
Buckingham Palace in a statement stated that the duke was present at the time of birth and the baby weighed 7lbs.3oz (3.2kg).
The baby boy is seventh in line to the throne, behind Prince Charles – the Prince of Wales, Prince William – the Duke of Cambridge and his three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and Prince Harry. Also, he is the eighth great grandchild of the Queen. Hours after the Palace’s statement, a ceremonial easel holding a framed notice of birth was placed in the forecourt of London’s Buckingham Palace.
Speaking after the birth of the baby boy, Prince Harry stated that the child had been “a little overdue” and that he is planning to make another announcement soon so that everyone can see the baby.
When asked about his personal feeling he stated that he is over the moon and this moment is one to die for. It’s a great experience that he might have imagined. Buckingham Palace in a statement stated that “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are happy with the news. It also stated that the duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is euphoric by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with the Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.
