The world is bearing a close resemblance to the galactic empire from Star Wars with time. The die-hard fans of the popular franchise send hope and positive force on May 4.
International Star Wars Day is celebrated on May 4 and this day belongs to the force and lovers of Princess Leia, Yoda, lightsabers, and the shady cult of Darth Vader. The tradition had started when the fans had wanted to celebrate their love for the popular Star Wars franchise. 4th May was selected because it easily rhymed with the most popular phrase “May the Force” be with you.
The designated day was selected as a pun and in good faith. The International Star Wars Day is definitely the perfect time to learn some new and interesting facts about the popular franchise.
Star Wars Day was first celebrated in 1979 which was two years after the first Star Wars picture made their way to the theatres. The Conservative Party of Britain was then celebrating the election of the New Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. A full-page advertisement was given out in the London Evening news which stated” May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie, Congratulations.”

In The Empire Strikes Back, one of the asteroids seen floating in outer space is actually nothing but a potato. On this Star Wars Day, the fans make a pledge to make the world a much better place to stay by joining the right side of the force.
