Bille Dee Wiliams Is Going To Return Star Wars 9 as Lando Calrissian

There is some good news for Star War fans who have been eagerly waiting for the next installment of the science-fiction saga. It has been reported that Billy Dee Williams, one of the Star Wars original trilogy actor is going to reprise his famous role of Lando Calrissian for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX.
Ever since Disney acquired Lucasfilm, Billy remained absent from the feature films. According to a news source, it has been confirmed that Billy would be returning to the Star Wars film franchise for the first time, since 1983’s Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Billy first appeared in the character of Lando for Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back as an old friend of Han Solo.
News about Billy joining the production house for Star Wars began to speculate when the actor pulled out of a science-fiction and even cancelled his convention appearance, citing reasons of conflict with the production house. The source even pointed out that news of Williams joining Star Wars is true and he will bring the science-fiction saga to an end probably.
The news of casting for the latest Star Wars sage caught the attention of its fans. Firstly, fans came to know that actor Keri Russell has been signed for a role in the movie. Apart from Russell, development of Star War 9 caught the attention of its fans. J.J. Abrams replaced Colin Trevorrow as the director. Also, the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher forced Lucasfilm to start the whole plot in a new way. Many fans would be pleases to see Lando’s character in the movie.
